t-minus fail.

I'm back. Though, not like anyone actually reads this, my blog is hidden and I don't like disclosing feelings to my friends. Here's a recap of what you have missed since my last post.

Morgan and I split up, and she is currently falling for another man, and it makes me feel [good] knowing she is happy and has someone to make her feel the same way.

Myself, well, nothing is happening with the ladies. Two very nice girls have caught my attention, and I really have absolutely no idea what to do. Person K has people liking her all the time, and I am really not a good candidate to go against her other admirers. Person M has no idea I have feelings for her at all, and thinks I am an asshole. True as that may be, I am trying to become a better person, I really hope she knows that.

Nico is a cunt.

Jay told me today that he loves what I am doing with my lead parts in the show. He just wants me to gankbust the fuck out of it.

Indeed I shall, indeed I shall.

Cheers, I love you all.

Nico, you're still a cunt. Grow the fuck up.

12:51am, and i am feeling creative.

It has been forever since my latest post, I fell off the wagon, but am attempting to get back on. I am feeling artsy, and am going to go outside and take some pictures with my camera. I'll post some un-edited extremely amateur photos when I get back, maybe one day I'll get better.

august

It has been a while since a last blog post I have had. I meant to bring my laptop with me to Europe, but did not have the room in my bag to be able to bring it with me.

I had a great time in Europe.

When I got home, it was like a shit storm. From spending time with 140 people a day, the last thing you want to do when you get back is have a bunch of family over all the time. Oh wait, thats what happened here. She's not here with me, I miss her loads, (tomorrow 1:30pm flight arrives, I am so excited)!

I feel very mediocre at the moment, though the excitement knowing that I get to hold her in my arms tomorrow is more than enough to brighten up my day.

As an aside, I finally got past all the boring beginning introduction in Pride and Prejudice and Zombies. It is slowly turning into a fucking awesometastic book. Next on my list, The Gum Thief by Douglas Coupland. After that, World War Z by Max Brooks. My summer reading list is exciting.

My iPod also completely shit all over itself and is unable to use. It charges fine, plays vidoes fine, but no sound, new headphones, old headphones, sounddock alike. It sucks, I have seven unwatched movies waiting to be seen.

I need to stop writing now, my cousin Mika is running around upstairs, throwing things at the hardwood floor. Hooray, I can't wait to clean that up Monday when he leaves.

I love you Morgan.

day 1

It has started. Everything we have been working for all year long is finally worth it. STAMPEDE WEEK.

Day one went off without a hitch.

The Stampede Parade had probably the best weather a parade has had in years, and we had Mike Holmes as the marshall, and we completed it in about an hour and fifteen minutes. The brass did an excellent job, I don't think anyone dropped out and we all looked and sounded great. We brought the energy, now to harness it for the next nine days.

The stage sets went great too. Jon and I have our Stampede week range back, and its getting pretty ridiculous. Outriders and the two of us seem to be making, or ignoring rather, cutoffs a lot more, hah.

I would update the blog with more information, but I have a 6:00am call time today at VCC, and my carpool is not here yet. Go figure.

And now you know. And knowing is half the battle, G.I. JOE!

july 1st, 2009

It has been a while since my last post, my schedule has been really hectic. Band has essentially consumed my life, and the twelve hour days with no sleep are quickly catching up.

Hell week was long, and hot, and tiring. We got a lot of stuff achieved, Second Wind is starting to really come together, the show is phenomenal, the best I have ever been a part of. Brass choir is long.

Six hours of break total for brass choir during the ten day festival that is Stampede Week. Hooray?

I just heard the dryer buzzer go off, I am going to go get my white western pants and hang them up, then bed.

Goodnight, I'll try to report daily during Stampede, hah.

Cheers.

wicked. drumheller pt. 1

I had a great day today!

I went to Morgan's house for 9:00am, the meeting place for our epic trip of the ages. Morgan, Cynthia, Carmen, Alex and I traveled in the cozy Santa Fe, across open plains and over dead gerbils, (haha, only not really). We stopped off at the Tim Horton's downtown before we actually left the city limits, and it was a good choice. They bought me an ice cap, it was delicious.

Anyways, once we arrived in Drumheller for Morgan's birthday day trip, we headed right to the Royal Tyrrell Museum. That place is so cool. All of the skeletons of the dinosaurs were awesome. I took a lot of pictures, to be uploaded (some of them) here, and the all of them to Facebook. I realized after, I am not in a single picture I took, :( it seems like I wasn't there at all. We got matching Pterodactyl t-shirts, they are rad, and red. Hah.

Next, we went to lunch, and attempted to solve a crossword. I actually don't know how far we got on the crossword, Nick arrived after lunch, so I drove with him for the rest of the afternoon, up until the point when we started heading back home.

We went to reptile world after lunch. It had a lot of snakes. I had a very bad experience with snakes when I was younger, and I wasn't feeling the best looking at all of them there. Basically, I was probably seven, and was holding some of those tiny corn snakes, that don't bite, and then was bit like twelve times. It sucked. They had a boa constrictor there named Britney, I was going to touch it, but then the handler "reassured" me that it wouldn't bite, and all I thought of was when I was bit when I was young. I am such a giant sissy.

After reptile world came a trip downtown to go shopping, which was really just walking a couple blocks, then back to the cars, then off for icecream then off to the Atlas Coal Mines. It sucks, the tours were over when we arrived, I really wanted to go into the mines.

We went to the suspension bridge, and climed some rocks, it was awesome. I like hiking. I also realized how out of shape I am. :(

Finally, after all of this, we headed over to the worlds largest dinosaur, Drumhellers own Albertosaurus. It was fantastic. I took some nice pictures there, of the group (minus me), and the view. Drumheller is actually a pretty nice place to look around in, I wish we had more time today (and capital to spend on the attractions).

Also, the most important part of the post,

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MORGAN!

money

So I have been working for my Dad's company the past week, and I am sure I am going to get cancer from the photocopying machine. Fuck.

$18/hour has its perks though, minus the cancer. I have three weeks with the company (in theory), until I am unable to work with them anymore, due to their lack of need of help, and my availability. No biggie, this money is paying for tour.

With regards to what you said to me last night, I took it to heart. It may not have been the things I wanted to hear, but the ones that I needed to.

Only time will tell.

Only time will.

Only time.

Only.

dear sir or madam;

Dear Sir or Madam,

Today was a weird day. I read another couple chapters of my book (I'm almost done, it is turning out to be the most cynical, fucked up book I have ever read), and worked from 10-4. The work is very tedious, and I find myself wandering off a lot of the time when I am there. Dear God, its only day 2 of 7. On a plus side, they ordered in pizza for lunch, yum. It was processed by Jesus, said so on the box.

Band was indifferent, we got a lot accomplished, cleaned parts of the show, reviewed "memorized" parade music, and stood in arc for a long while. Whenever I play high, my right cheek puffs out, it sucks.

I hope you realize I would have loved for you to be able to stay the night, but my parents would not allow it, and I hope it didn't make you feel worse. I hate it when you are sad, and whenever I can, I will try to make you feel better.

If the time ever comes that I can be your Jim, I'll be there. But I am perfectly content being Michael, Dwight, Ryan, Toby, Angela, Meredith, Stanley, Phyllis, Oscar and Creed. I hope you'll be my Office too.

In other news, I don't suppose I have anything else to report. In time these posts will become more blog-worthy, but I am still getting used to them. I know, I think I'll slowly write a short story. Lets start.

Drip. Drip. Drip. Fuck he thought, this was going to be a long night.

I love you Grace Kelly.

season 2 finale.

It was a very long weekend, so, as a result, I didn't get a chance to post. We had camp in Springbank, it was far away, I enjoyed myself. We now have our Saddledome Plaza stage show almost completely blocked, we need to work out the kinks in the brass choir and brassline pieces, which shouldn't take too long (staging that is). Big Noise was dope, Jonathan is the most insane person I have ever met, and I love the kid to death. For serious.

We have a tight new visual and much eaiser re-write for movement one, which is going to really make a lot of the melody sick. By Stampede week, it will be gellin'.

Nicole asked me to do the Oh Canada recording for her today as she had work. It was... well... to put it bluntly..., essentially anything we have ever done with the YC's. Gongshow.

I wish that my posts had more meaning, rather than mindless banter, but I can't find the will to write anything else. I probably have bloggers block, (no pun intended).

I really want a pair of mittens, the ones Morgan had were awesome. Also, a manly sweater. :) After the recording today, Morgan, Cynthia and I went to A&W (yum, I owe Cynthia $5.00), and then we went to the Amazing Store (or something along those lines). It had a lot of cool old things from all over the world in there for ridiculous prices. There was this awesome elephant carving that I wanted, but didn't have the $70.00 for. Oh well, maybe next time.

We finished watching the second season of The Office today, and you told me that you wanted a Jim of your own.

I can be your Jim.

for a friend

For my part, I have walk'd the streets,
Submitting me unto the perilous night,
And, thus unbraced, Casca, as you see,
Have bar'd my bosom to the thunder-stone;
And when the cross blue lightning seem'd to open
The breast of heaven, I did present myself
Even in the aim and very flash of it.

Thank you so much for everything today. My Granny loves you, my parents adore you, and you always make me smile. You're always there for me when I need someone, and are the comfiest teddy bear I have ever gotten to lay with.

I owe you so much.

steven spielberg edition x360

Xbox just won the game. It's over. (although I still want a PS3 for Blu-Ray capabilities). Xbox won the next generation console race.

They are releasing a full motion capture system for the 360, voice/face recognition software, the ability to scan stuff into the system itself. The computing power of the 360, 3d motion controllers and as an added bonus, Steven Spielberg is working on the system himself.

Plus, Left 4 Dead 2, the new Halo game AFTER ODST, Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots to be released, Forza Motorsport 3, a new Splinter Cell game, its getting ridiculous.

Also, the 360 is getting Facebook and Twitter integration, haha.

I myself am currently waiting for my Steven Spielberg rocketship edition X360. Maybe for Christmas.

i fell from the sky when i flew too close to the sun. i'll keep trying.

I will wait as long as it takes.

music n' motion 2009

Another fun filled day full of band today. It started bright and early, 9:00am in a comfortable 20ish degree heat. We had an okay, yelling filled rehearsal in the morning, and an awesome performance in the afternoon. I'd go into the details, but I am waiting for the Facebook/YouTube video to surface and I'll post it here.

Afterwords, I went to Tim Hortons and grabbed an ice cap and Morgan bought chicken snack wrap type Tim Horton things, which the lady took FOREVER to make. Honestly, twenty minutes to make them is not fucking acceptable.

Movement I went off without a hitch I thought, we really need to work on the 26 then 22 count follow the leader. It is brutally hard and there are a lot of collisions still. Movement II is sweet, Larry is going to get my orange flight control traffic sticks to direct the trumpets moving the props, haha. Also, I definitely lumberjacked after the trumpet solo. Go me. III is coming along, it is really passionate and emotional, and I can't wait to bring it to Kerkrade, people are going to eat it up. Movement IV is by far my favorite. The drill is intense, the music is fast and impressive, the crowd went nuts at the end. Also, at the final chord I hit a wicked dubba G and stuck it for like two seconds after the cut off. Tara heard me, haha.

Anyways, thats all for now. Morgan may or may not come over tonight, we are going to watch some TV and do something that doesn't require energy.

My mom is calling me for dinner, my Grandmother is over, I love her.

ps. will

drag me to HELL

Today was a great day! I had so much fun, you had no idea. Okay, rehearsal in 30 degree weather with minimal water breaks and sunscreen to shield my inner ginger was maybe not the best bet, but overall we got a lot accomplished.

After rehearsal Morgan, her Mom and I drove around on the highways, making sure we can make the trip to Drumheller alright (which we can, she is a great driver!). We had some Dave's Pizza and this awesome Greek salad for dinner, and the best ice cream for dessert. I managed to get the mint chocolate chip to spill onto my nice polo, leaving a nasty green stain in the middle of a nice yellow. I hope Tide will get that bitch out.

Also, today, Elena and I decided that the trumpet shirts would be sweet if they just said Bitches on them. Bitches. Bitchez. Bitches. I prefer the "es" ending over the lame(er) "ez." I think Elena agrees.

Afterwords, Morgan and I went to see "Drag Me To Hell." It was one of those in your face, pop up, surprise horror flicks. Dylan, I can't wait until we go see this, it was wicked. Has the same amount of intensity as Blair Witch (don't ever stand in a corner ever sir).

Short blog post tonight, I don't really have anything to report.

Also, AnHEYelina Heyolie is a fox. Ha ha ha ha ha.

don't ever let trainee's steam your stampede hat. holy fuck.

I realized I had no blog post yesterday, some plan this is of me writing about my everyday life here. Regardless, I will continue to *try to post as much as I can, as often as I can. Okay. Good.

Today, I took Brad to Toys R(backwards) Us, so that he could get a job, make good cash monies, and then eventually get me sweet bitchin' discounts on misc. crap and video games. Life will be grand. Afterwords, I surprised Morgan with lunch at the Farmers Market, and she helped me pick some BEAUTIFUL flowers for my mom, (her birthday is on Monday, I love her), and she loved them!

Now for the main (I lied, this is not the main reason for the post) reason of this post. I needed to get my Stampede cowboy hat steamed since the back was all fucked up since I got it at the start this year, so I decided to call Brad and get his Sombrero back into a cowboy hat as well. I got the Camry, it is a very nice car. Jonathan is the soloist in the Bands of Calgary 2004-2005 CD for Come Sail Away (it rocked my world). A trainee tried to steam the hat like a normal cowboy hat, and it got fucked up more. The manager had to come over and show her how to do the hat like the Stampede ones. Ugh, now my hat has a bunch of finger marks and straight lines on it. It sucks. Though, it does have slightly more shape then before, which is a very minor positive.

I finished watching the first season of The Office. Pam is a fox. Jim is sad. Michael is... well, simply, Michael.

I have to wake up at seven so I can get ready for band tomorrow morning, so this is where I will sign out for the night.

Cheers, Andrew.

ps. Friends on.

delicious. pt.2

So I told myself I would not resort to double, triple, or quadruple posting in a day, but there are some things that need to be said. I met a very cute girl at the oolong tea house today. We shared many awkward smiles. That was not the main reason for this post.

For two people to be so close, a foot apart feels like a mile. I do agree with you however, that is the most comfy part of the couch to snooze on.

C'est la vie.

delicious.

I haven't decided if I am going to publish this blog or not, or give out the address or not to people in "secret" hopes they read it and have a little more insight to my life, so I could just be writing to myself. This is entirely fine by me.

I really don't know what to write. Part of me has volumes of thoughts and feelings I need to express, and the other part of me wants to continue to keep it bottled up. Weird.

Jon is going to go out for BD next year. He will get in for sure. We made a pact back in Round-Up that we would do corps together, but there is no way that I am going to get in BD, solely on the entire marching ability aspect of it. I don't suck, but I am by no means the best. I hate feeling mediocre at what I do, it kills me inside.

Big Noise from Winnetka. (Jon, yeah broski).

I guess since the theme of this first post is all about marching bands and the like, I'll keep within character. I was apporached a couple of rehearsals ago about how someone in the section felt when we started playing high. Immediately after I felt horrible, but at the same time, it is what Jay asked us to do. Ugh, mixed feelings.

On a different note, Morgan called me this morning asking me to take her phone to Telus to get it fixed, the screen was glitching. I went, and they looked at me dumbfounded, and probably are talking about the glitchy phone right now. They ordered her a new one, and are going to call me in 4-7 buisness days when it arrives. I am really glad that she and I are so close. She is eaisly one of the closest friends I have, probably number two. (I actually don't number my friends based on how close we are, but she is really something special).

I guess this is where the first post ends. Hopefully I will continue posting (daily, if I can), though I doubt anyone will read this.
